Welcome to Kimmage Manor Parish

Lenten MessageMass Times

My sisters and brothers of Kimmage Manor Parish,
We recently bade a sad Farewell to Fr. Pat Doody C.S.Sp.,who had been your Pastor here  for the past five years. He has clearly endeared himself to many through his generosity, self-sacrifice and sincerity. Now, after many years ministering in Kenya, the U.S. and Ireland, he has the opportunity to calmly and quietly face a new moment of reflection, continuing to evaluate his work, and how he may further the mission of our Congregation. We wish him God’s special blessing in the years ahead.
Fr.Tom Hogan C.S.Sp and I will form a community here at Kimmage Manor Parish, and look forward greatly to joining and ministering to the members of the Parish in this special part of the Archdiocese of Dublin. When St. Augustine was appointed to his Diocese of Hippo in North Africa many centuries ago, he introduced himself to the people of the Diocese in words similar to these : FOR YOU I AM A PRIEST.....WITH YOU I AM A CHRISTIAN.  Fr. Tom and I will clearly and happily operate out of this principal.
Fr.Tom brings to his ministry many years in Kenya, in basic parish ministry, and the in the field of education. I worked in Kenya also for many years (at one stage teaching with Fr.Tom in the same school) and have spent the last 23 years in various parts of Australia in Parish Ministry. Both of us are excited at the prospect of accompanying the Parishioners of Kimmage Manor Parish as we are guided by the Holy Spirit.
Be patient with us, as we adapt to the marvellous challenges before us all in the coming years...in the words of St.Paul “IF GOD IS FOR US, WHO CAN BE AGAINST US?”

Fr. Paul Walsh
